After compilation of surveys, the OT determines that the results conclude that after 2 weeks 75% of patients continued to require additional services after they returned home. Based on the outcome, what can the OT conclude?

B) Provide a list of durable medical equipment, adaptive equipment, and OT providers before a patient returns home

Answer: D. By completing pre-discharge home evaluations, the OTR will be able to determine what additional adaptations and/or equipment the patient will need prior to returning home and will be able to either provide the equipment prior to discharge or notify home health OT of the recommendation, resulting in improvement of the overall outcomes of the program for CVA patients.
