At a baby group an OT sees infants aged 7-13 months who have developmental delay. Many of the parents want to learn strategies that can promote oral motor development for their child. After the OT suggests proper positioning in a high chair, what would be another strategy the OT can recommend?
A) Encourage the parents to feed their infant pureed food
B) Encouragehand to mouth patterns by bringing soft textured toys to their infants mouth
C) Advise the parents to rub a warm washcloth on the infants’ gums before and after every feeding
D) Encourage the parents to start brushing the infants teeth twice a day

With infants aged 7-13 months the OT wants to promote self-feeding with solid foods rather then pureed foods which happens at 4-6 months.
