An OT is working with a patient with low vision in their 2 bedroom single story house. What is an example of a first intervention to incorporate when working with this patient?
A) Provide dark tape on the edge of the steps to the dark bath floor
B) Provide a light colored bath mat on a white tiled bath floor
C) Provide colorful tape on the edge of the steps to the dark bath floor

D) When it comes to low vision, a 1st intervention would always to be to increase lighting (which will not increase glare – we always want to reduce glare). We always want high contrast (increased contrast). A dark colored bath math is used on a white tiled floor, colorful tape on steps edge to make it stand out, etc).
